Deep in the heart of Texas, located on Bosque County Road 4145 between Cranfills Gap and Clifton, is what the local people call “The Rock Church.” Built in 1886 by Norwegian settlers in the area, Saint Olaf Lutheran Church (St Olafs Kirke – as it is carved above the doorway) still serves as a place of worship, especially at Christmas Evening candlelight service and Easter sunrise service.
Don’t forget events of Holy Week! Join us for these opportunities to celebrate Christ’s passion and resurrection:
Thursday at 6:00: Maunday Thursday service at St Olaf
Good Friday at 6:00: Seven Last Words of Christ at Rock Church
7:00: Sunrise Service at Rock Church
8:00–9-15: Pancake breakfast by youth in church basement
9:30: Service of Holy Communion at St. Olaf
Join us for all or any events!
